About Us

Where Family Welcomes Family

The Oberon House Assisted Living is now proudly owned and operated by Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, a Colorado-based senior care organization committed to compassionate, resident-centered assisted living and in-home care. This new chapter builds on a strong foundation of trust, care, and community that has defined The Oberon House since its earliest days.

Founded in 2010 by Gregg Dirks and Terri Tochihara-Dirks, The Oberon House was created with a simple but powerful belief: seniors deserve to be cared for like family. Through their hands-on leadership and deep personal involvement, Gregg and Terri established a culture of warmth, dignity, and genuine connection that continues to shape daily life in our community. Their dedication to residents, families, and staff earned The Oberon House a reputation throughout Arvada for exceptional care and heartfelt service.

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living is honored to carry that legacy forward. With deep roots in Colorado and years of experience supporting seniors across the state, their leadership brings added clinical expertise, caregiver training, and operational support — all while preserving the personalized, family-focused approach that makes The Oberon House unique.

Nestled in a neighborhood setting and licensed for 65 residents with 59 private rooms, The Oberon House remains a place where residents feel at home, and families feel confident in the care their loved ones receive. Our long-standing spend-down to Medicaid policy continues after a private-pay period, ensuring stability and continuity of care for residents as their needs evolve.

Often lovingly referred to as the “Hotel California” of assisted living in Arvada, many residents choose to make The Oberon House their long-term home. Referrals from current and former families remain one of our greatest sources of growth — a testament to the trust built through years of compassionate care.

At The Oberon House, we honor the past, embrace the present, and look forward to the future, always guided by the belief that family welcomes family.

Why I do this work: I had the most wonderful parents and grandparents and always preferred spending time with them over people my own age. I fell into senior living quite by accident and found it to be my dream job. My parents and grandparents are gone now, so this is how I honor them.

Something surprising about me: I belong to a group of do-gooders called ‘Pritty (sic)’. We make beautiful and practical hand made items for people who are sick.

Why I do this work: From a passion to cook at a young age from my Grandfather and mentoring from an excellent executive chef early on in my career, my choice to cook for lovely communities such as this became clear.

A Fun Fact About Me: From the young age of 5 my father got me into the sport of frisbee golfing! Since then I’ve never missed a beat and have continued to play my entire life.

Why do I do this work: I started working in Senior Housing when I was 16 years old, I fell in love with the work I was doing and the people I was caring for. I can’t imagine a life not caring for these precious people.

You’d be surprised to know: I have an adventurous soul, I have been skydiving, and hope to go swimming with the sharks in Australia.
